Bike and hiking trails
Due to construction works, the 8-seater Gondola and the Quattralpina chairlift remain closed. Since the construction site spreads across the tower plateau on top of Hauser Kaibling, all biking and hiking trails as well as playgrounds in that area are closed. The main hiking routes as the Schafsinn round trail, the Summit round trail and the Kids’ Adventure Trail won’t be accessible as usual. Hiking up to the summit or over to Kaiblingalm (Schafsinn lake) is solely possible along the lower trail, with its entry south-west of Tomiziel (marked as bike trail no. 92 and as winter walking hike).
We appreciate your understanding for us not being able to offer the family activities Downhill Disc-Golf, petting zoo, Kids’ Adventure Trail and several play-stations on the mountain due to building works during summer 2024.
Exception: Schafsinn lake –activities not needing supervision as barefoot path, sheep-climbing path, sheep-jump, are available. For children and families, Wolli’s Kids Park, our leisure park at the valley station, is open.
Hiking trails – not accessible:
- Schafsinn round trail
- Kids’ Adventure Trail
- Summit round trail
Hiking trails – accessible via alternative route:
- Hauser Kaibling summit – alternative trail for experienced hikers via gondola valley station/Brunnweg trail.
- Kaiblingalm (Schafsinn lake)/Bärfallspitz/Moaralmsee lake/Höchstein - via gondola valley station, lower trail until Harrys Alm or Brunnweg trail
- Pioneer Theme Trail (no 780)
Bike trails – not accessible from starting point Hauser Kaibling:
- 09 Kaibling round
- 92 Krummholz tour
- 91 Gumpental round
Note: There is no bike transport offered on the Tauern Gondola. Bike trails are accessible from Gumpental (trail no 92) to Ennslingalm reservoir lake as usual. Further uphill to the tower plateau on top will not be possible during building works.
We would like to point out that on certain mountain roads there might be increased building-site traffic.
