Arriving by car:

Travel via the A10 Tauern Motorway

Due to extensive renovations of the Ofenauer and Hiefler tunnels, as well as the tunnel chain in Werfen, there will be disruptions on the A10 Tauern Motorway in Salzburg from mid-September 2023 to June 2024 in both directions.

Our recommendations:

• Consider alternative means of public transportation.
• When traveling via the A10, check real-time information on the ASFINAG website or through Google Maps.
• For travelers from Germany, the Netherlands, and Denmark (especially all regions north of Nuremberg), check your route and consider using the A9 Pyhrn Motorway if necessary.

From Germany:
Coming from Germany, you use the motorway München-Salzburg, and then the motorway "Tauernautobahn" (A10) until you reach the "Knoten Ennstal" (exit Graz - Altenmarkt). Following the main road (B320) into the direction of Schladming - Haus. 30 km from the motorway exit to the ski resort Hauser Kaibling.

From Germany via Upper Austria: 
An alternative route can be taken when arriving from the north via Nürnberg - Regensburg and Passau to the so-called "Voralpenkreuz" in Wels. From there, you take the motorway "Pyhrnautobahn" (A9) until "Knoten Selzthal", and from there the main road  (B320) into the direction of Haus im Ennstal.

From Vienna:
Coming from the east, you arrive via Vienna  (A23) and the motorway "Südautobahn" (A2), then via the Semmering (S6) until the "Knoten St. Michael". There, you take the motorway "Pyhrnautobahn" (A9) until the "Knoten Liezen" and then again the  main road "Ennstal-Bundesstraße" (B320) until Haus im Ennstal.

From Italy:
Coming from Udine, you cross the border at Arnoldstein and take the motorway A2 until Villach. There, you follow the motorway "Tauernautobahn" (A10) until the "Knoten Ennstal" (exit for Graz in Altenmarkt) and from there the main road "Ennstal-Bundesstraße" (B320) until Haus im Ennstal.

Aus Richtung Deutschland:
Von Deutschland kommend geht es bequem über die Autobahn München-Salzburg und weiter über die Tauernautobahn (A10) bis zum Knoten Ennstal. Von dort sind es über die Bundesstraße (B320) nur noch mehr ca. 30 km in das Skigebiet Hauser Kaibling.

Aus Richtung Oberösterreich/Deutschland: 
Eine alternative Route führt von Nürnberg über Regensburg und Passau bis zum Voralpenkreuz nach Wels. Von dort geht es weiter über die Pyhrnautobahn (A9) bis Knoten Selzthal und von dort aus weiter auf der Bundesstraße (B320) Richtung Haus im Ennstal.

Aus Richtung Wien:
Von Osten kommend erfolgt die Anreise über Wien (A23) und die Südautobahn (A2), weiter über den Semmering (S6) bis zum Knoten St. Michael. Von dort geht es über die Pyhrnautobahn (A9) bis zum Knoten Liezen und wiederum auf der Ennstal-Bundesstraße (B320) bis nach Haus im Ennstal.

Aus Richtung Italien:
Aus Richtung Udine kommend geht es über den Grenzübergang Arnoldstein und die A2 bis nach Villach. Weiter folgt man der Tauernautobahn (A10) bis zum Knoten Ennstal und von dort aus der Ennstal-Bundesstraße (B320) bis nach Haus im Ennstal.

Arriving by train:

The ski resort Hauser Kaibling lies along the interantional railway line Salzburg-Graz. Express train stations are Schladming and Gröbming, regional trains also stop in Haus im Ennstal and Öblarn.
